Columbus Retail Center Reaches 99% Occupancy

National private equity commercial real estate firm First National Realty Partners (FNRP) recently announced that its strategic leasing initiatives had resulted in achieving 99% occupancy at Carriage Place Shopping Center in Columbus, Ohio.

The most recent retail leases to be completed add three new tenants to expand the property’s offerings and strengthen its position as a top retail and dining destination in the area.

By curating a strong mix of national brands and unique local retailers, FNRP has transformed Carriage Place into a vibrant local hub for shopping and entertainment: Fun City Trampoline Park, Pet Supplies Plus, and Port of Peri Peri now join the tenant roster at the shopping center on Bethel Road.

“Each of these tenants brings something unique to the center,” said Candace Gschwind, director of leasing at FNRP. “With an expanded mix of shopping, dining, and entertainment, Carriage Place is evolving to meet the needs of the modern shopper.”

Fun City Trampoline Park has leased roughly 35,500 square feet of retail space to replace the former Cinemark theater, which closed in 2023.

Pet Supplies Plus signed on for nearly 8,000 square feet of retail space that will bring a convenient, trusted shopping experience for pet owners in the area beginning in 2026.

Port of Peri Peri will occupy about 2,400 square feet and enrich the center’s dining options and cultural variety by introducing bold Portuguese-African cuisine upon opening toward the end of this year.

“Our leasing efforts go beyond filling vacancies — they’re about creating a dynamic destination that benefits both the community and our investors,” said Fred Battisti, chief revenue officer at FNRP. “By bringing in a diverse mix of tenants, we’re not only enhancing the shopping and entertainment experience for Columbus residents, but also taking steps we believe will drive long-term value and stability for our investment partners.”

Originally completed in the late 1980s, Carriage Place now incorporates more than 280,900 square feet of Columbus retail space across seven buildings. The center’s prime location boasts a traffic count of more than 30,700 cars per day and is expected to remain a highly resilient and vibrant retail destination for the region.
