A man who stole dozens of house keys – along with keys to three vehicles – from an estate agency during a burglary has been sentenced in court after pleading guilty to the offences.
Thomas Marsden, 33, of Scot Lane, Newtown, appeared before Manchester magistrates where he admitted breaking into the offices of Thornley Groves in Salford on 20 October.
Marsden took numerous sets of property keys and vehicle keys during the raid. He also pleaded guilty to a separate break-in at the Bridgewater Dental Surgery, also in Salford, committed on the same day with intent to steal.
Magistrates sentenced Marsden to a four-week custodial term, suspended for 12 months. He was also ordered to complete nine months of alcohol treatment and 25 days of rehabilitation activity requirements.
In addition, he must pay £100 in compensation.
