Kylie Minogue may have beaten Mike Day to the Christmas number one this year, but his song has still entertained – and, with your help, achieved its charitable goals by raising just over £2,000 so far.

Have you seen the video created by Toby Martin to accompany the song yet?

Watch it now:

The song can be listened to for free (across 24 streaming channels – for example, it has had c1000 streams on Spotify alone) but please donate (you can then also download if you’d like to take me home for Christmas!)

Mike Day said: “I’ve had lots of wonderful comments from people who have taken the time to listen to the song. I’ve also played it live at five gigs in December, but I really would appreciate everyone just taking the next step and donating!

As I write, the song has grossed a little over £2,000, all of which [less Bandcamp platform fees] will be going to the Diabetes UK and Propertymark Trust charities on 12th night (6 January).

“Obviously, I am delighted that there have been over 1,500 streams and views so far. However, it is only donations and downloads that generate funds for the charities.”

You can donate frolm just £2 (or more if you are able to be more generous). Even if you don’t want to download the song – you can still donate!

The Bandcamp link is here or you can use the QR code in the video

Thank you in anticipation of your support and may I take this opportunity to spread some Yuletide Cheer and wish you, your family and colleagues, a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year (great title for a song,” Day added.
