Mexico City is one of the most culturally vibrant and visually compelling cities in the world, and it’s quickly becoming a major hub for influential contemporary art. As the city’s art scene grows, so does the opportunity to integrate museum-quality work into everyday life as decoration and cultural capital with long-term value.

In partnership with The Agency Mexico City, The Agency Art House is proud to announce its expansion to the capital city. “The city’s culture, art, fine dining, and world-class architecture make it a magnet for investors,” says The Agency Mexico City’s Managing Partner, Ricardo Umansky. “We’re proud to be part of this city’s story and to showcase everything it has to offer.”

Leading the new chapter for The Agency Art House is celebrated gallerist Georgina Pounds, who will serve as Art Advisor for the Mexico City chapter of the exclusive service. With her far-reaching expertise in the global art market and strong network across Mexico’s leading galleries, curators, and cultural institutions, Georgina will help build a world-class service tailored to this emerging art capital, leading all partnerships and acquisitions as well as The Agency Art House’s ongoing expansion into Latin America.

To celebrate the launch, the team hosted an opening party and preview at Pounds’ gallery with over 1,000 attendees, a dynamic mix of artists, agents, collectors, clients, designers, and fashion figures. Guests gathered to view works by artist Vanessa Raw, then moved through to a smaller exhibition room featuring a curated selection of artists. The evening also featured a DJ and live musicians, with dinner and cocktails—made with The Agency’s tequila—creating an ebullient and engaging atmosphere. Hosted during Mexico City Art Week, the event served as both a cultural gathering and a strategic milestone, marking The Agency Art House’s formal entrance into the Mexico City market while setting the tone in the lead-up to Zona Maco 2026.

“Mexico City is one of the most important cultural capitals in the world today,” says The Agency Art House Founder, Arushi Kapoor. “This expansion is not just geographic, it’s philosophical. Latin America, with its growing art scene, represents the future of global collecting, creativity, and cultural influence. Now, along with Georgina, we are building a platform that is deeply local, globally connected, and designed for the next generation of collectors.”

Many congratulations to The Agency Mexico City and The Agency Art House team—including Georgina, Arushi, and Ricardo —on a beautiful, exciting event.
