Winkworth has extended its north London presence with the opening of a new office in Stoke Newington.
This will be the fifth office for Winkworth franchisee Ian Fraser, who already runs the Highbury, Islington, Hackney, and Shoreditch offices.
Associate director Hamish Allan, on behalf of Winkworth Stoke Newington, said: “It was the next logical step as we have already done transactions in the N16 area and have built up market share. We now have an office in Church Street, which is in the heart of Stoke Newington, where there is a very villagey feel.
“Stoke Newington has a great atmosphere, is very community minded and has really good independent shops, restaurants and bars. We see a lot of creative people moving here from Islington and Shoreditch, as well as young families. It’s a great area to bring up children. There are good schools and lots of green space. Clissold Park is a big favourite, with historic Clissold House, a children’s play area, tennis courts and animal enclosures. This is a big draw for everyone in the area.”
Winkworth has already opened four new offices in 2024 and has the potential to open or relaunch more new franchisees in London over the next 18 months or so, according to a recently published market update.
Dominic Agace, chief executive, Winkworth, said: “We are delighted to see Ian Fraser and his very talented team expanding into Stoke Newington following the success of the four offices across North and East London.
“We are always looking for entrepreneurial individuals who are looking to start their own business. We offer our franchisees an exceptional level of support from our head office team across all aspects of the business, with the power of the Winkworth brand to help their business flourish.”
