Kudos to Karine! The editors of GlobeSt. recently honored The Agency’s Karine Aslanian as a 2025 Woman of Influence within the Broker/Investment Sales category. She was recognized at the publication’s awards ceremony, held on July 22 at the Gaylord Rockies Resort in Denver, Colorado. The event was part of the sixth annual GlobeSt. Women of Influence Conference, which ran from July 21 through July 22, 2025.

“Karine exemplifies the strategic vision and professionalism we champion here,” said Rainy Hake Austin, President of The Agency. “Her commitment to her clients and her leadership in commercial real estate set a powerful example. We’re proud to celebrate her well-earned recognition as a Woman of Influence.”

“It’s truly an honor to be recognized by GlobeSt. alongside so many talented women in our industry,” says Karine. “Commercial real estate has always been a highly competitive field, and to be acknowledged in the Broker/Investment Sales category, where performance, relationships, and execution all matter so much, feels incredibly rewarding.”

She credits the support and trust from clients, colleagues, and mentors for this achievement.
This marks Karine’s second major accolade in the commercial real estate space this year. She was honored as a nominee for Best Office Deal at the Los Angeles Business Journal’s 30th Annual Commercial Real Estate Awards.

“Both recognitions are deeply meaningful to me. On a personal level, they’re affirmations that the long hours, creative problem-solving, and deal navigation are making an impact,” she shared. “Professionally, it’s a reminder that being a trusted advisor in this space, especially in complex markets like Los Angeles, matters. These honors motivate me to continue advocating for my clients, mentoring others, and pushing the envelope in how we approach brokerage and investment sales.”

As a Woman of Influence, Karine joins the ranks of an exclusive group of women leaders in commercial real estate who’ve been invited to HIVE, a digital community that enables and encourages year-round networking and provides access to exclusive content for its members.

From IT to CRE: Karine’s Path to Commercial Real Estate

With a background in IT, Karine shares that she’s always approached problem-solving through the lens of logic, systems and strategy. “Commercial real estate attracted me because it offered a similarly dynamic environment—one that’s fast-paced, multifaceted, and constantly evolving. But unlike tech, commercial real estate has always felt more personally relatable to me because of its tangible nature and the deep human element involved.”

The mix of strategy, negotiation and relationship-building initially drew her to the commercial real estate sector, and what continues to inspire her daily. “No two deals are the same, and I love being part of a process that requires creative thinking, trust, and long-term vision.”

For those considering a career in commercial real estate, she urges them not to wait until they feel ready. “Jump in, ask questions, and own your seat at the table,” says Karine. “Relationships matter just as much as knowledge, so take time to build a strong network and surround yourself with people who challenge and support you.”

She also notes that hard work and consistency have been the keys to her success, as well as relying on her instincts. “Your perspective is valuable, and the industry benefits from diverse voices and approaches.”

Congratulations, Karine on your latest Woman of Influence honor from the GlobeSt.— well done!
