When 4760 Amigo Avenue was newly built in 2016, the traditional East Coast-style estate in Tarzana immediately caught Vanessa Lachey’s eye. “I loved everything about that house from the second I saw it,” she recalls. At the time, Lachey, an actress and host, and her husband, singer Nick Lachey, had just settled into a major renovation on another home in nearby Encino, so an Amigo Avenue move wasn’t in the cards — though the house stayed with them.
Their chance came a few years later, when they learned that a professional NFL player, whose children attended school with theirs, was looking to sell the Amigo estate. This time, the Lacheys made the move. They spent two years there, enjoying the five-bedroom, nine-bathroom estate’s sunlit living spaces and commanding San Fernando Valley views.
Life, however, had other plans. When Vanessa was cast in a lead role in CBS’ “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation” franchise, filming in Hawaii, the family sold Amigo Avenue in an off-market transaction to multiple-time Grand Slam champion Naomi Osaka.
When Osaka herself decided to move in 2025, she reached out to offer the Lacheys first right to buy back their former home, which had been updated with additional privacy elements, a bright new 800-square-foot guest house and a gym. The Lacheys took her up on it.
Today, new adventures are calling the Nick and Vanessa out of state again, this time to the east, and the Amigo Avenue home is coming back to market, represented by The Agency’s Mauricio Umansky and Craig Knizek.
Set behind gates on a flat, 0.68-acre lot, 4760 Amigo Avenue’s main residence offers 6,855 square feet of living space. The front door opens to an unobstructed line of sight straight through to the living room, where the rolling hills of the San Fernando Valley are framed perfectly.
The home’s airy floor plan has been built for both elevated entertaining and everyday family life; it encompasses a chef’s kitchen with two islands and a separate breakfast nook, a bar with a dedicated wine cellar, and a private movie theater.
Osaka’s addition to the estate, an 800-square-foot guest house and gym with a kitchenette and a spa-inspired recovery-suite bathroom, rounds out the grounds alongside a lighted, full-length basketball court.
Though there are many standout features, Umansky singles out the gym. “The gym is one of the best spaces I’ve ever seen in a private residence for working out. The size and volume to accommodate every piece of cutting-edge equipment is awesome.”
He also points out the views as a major selling point. “The distant mountains are like a painting that serves as a beautiful backdrop. Every vantage point within the house, all day long. At night, the city lights come alive — it’s spectacular.”
Knizek, who has sold the residence twice before, points to still more unique attributes. “As L.A. encourages greater density, increased personal space is the hallmark of luxury,” says Knizek. “This home’s huge flat yard is what families want. The lighted tennis court means that you and your family have the ability to play tennis, pickleball, or basketball all day and into the night. It’s a tremendous space to host large-scale gatherings and to entertain in style.”
For the Lacheys, though, Amigo Avenue’s appeal always ran deeper than its amenities.
“We loved living at Amigo. It provided so many great memories,” Vanessa says. “We’re happy and excited for the next family to carry on the tradition and continue to love it as much as we did.”
